Ariel Defay is an incumbent Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives for District 15, having assumed office in November 2023 after being appointed to replace Brad Wilson. She is running for re-election in 2026. A businesswoman, she serves as Vice President of Business Development at Defay Orthodontics and previously worked on campaigns for Spencer Cox and Mitt Romney. Defay holds a bachelor's degree from Utah State University and a master's from Ohio University. In her legislative role, she sponsored a bill banning minors from marrying someone four or more years their senior and supported a child care business tax credit.
