Armenui Ashvanian was appointed to the Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2018. Before her appointment, she served as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County for over 13 years, specializing in prosecuting violent crimes as part of the Hardcore Gang Division. She has tried over 85 jury trials. Born in Armenia, she immigrated to the United States at age 17. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Glendale University College of Law and an Associate of Science degree from Glendale Community College. She has also served as an adjunct assistant professor at the Glendale University College of Law.
