Artis "A.J." McCampbell is an American politician currently serving as an incumbent member of the Alabama House of Representatives for District 71. Born in Greene County, Alabama, in 1953, he graduated from Eutaw High School in 1971 and earned a B.A. in Political Science. A Democrat, he first assumed office in 2006 and has continuously represented his district since then. He is a candidate for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives, District 71, in the 2026 Alabama Primary Election, and previously held the role of Minority Caucus Policy Member At-large in 2016.
