Arturo Alonso-Sandoval is an incumbent State Representative for Oklahoma House District 89, representing south Oklahoma City. A first-generation American, bilingual, and the son of Mexican immigrants, he earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. As one of the youngest elected officials, he is committed to fighting for progress and the middle class, advocating for policies like community-focused policing, paid family leave, ending debtors’ prisons, increasing minimum wage, and securing funding for public schools and competitive teacher pay. He also champions lower prescription drug costs, mental health funding, and infrastructure improvements.
