Dr. Arvind Venkat is an emergency physician and the incumbent State Representative for Pennsylvania's 30th Legislative District. Elected in 2022, he became the first Indian American to serve in the State House and the first physician in the General Assembly in nearly 60 years. Before taking office, he served as president of the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians. Venkat earned degrees from Harvard University and an M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine.
