Athenea Allen has spent most of her career as an investigator for government contractors, focusing on national security. She has conducted federal background investigations for agencies such as the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. In 2020, she began working for Northrop Grumman as a Site Lead. Since 2024, she has been a Supervisory Site Lead for General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) at Kirtland Air Force Base. She was born and raised in Northern New Mexico and has lived on Albuquerque's Westside since 2004. She is married to Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen.
