Bárbara Rivera Holmes is Georgia's incumbent Labor Commissioner, appointed in March 2025 and sworn in on April 4, 2025. She is the state's first Latina constitutional officer and is seeking re-election in the May 2026 Republican primary. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Holmes previously worked as a journalist and led a chamber of commerce before serving on the Georgia Board of Regents.
