A resident of Issaquah for nearly 40 years, she previously served two terms on the Issaquah School Board. Her professional career includes roles as Director of Public Relations for the Issaquah School District and Community Relations Planner for the King County Department of Transportation. She has been involved in numerous civic organizations, including the City's Arts Commission and The Garage, A Teen Café.
