Barry Buchanan is a fourth-generation resident of Whatcom County and a Navy Veteran. He has over 15 years of public service experience, having served on both the Bellingham City Council and the Whatcom County Council. He is currently serving his third term on the Whatcom County Council for the at-large Position A, a role he has held since January 2018. He and his wife, Judy, have been married for 51 years and raised their three children in Bellingham.
