Ben Zarlingo was elected to represent District 5 in 2022. He has been a resident of Everett since the 1980s, initially moving to the area to work for Hewlett-Packard. He holds an engineering degree from Colorado State University and later started his own technology consulting company after retiring. He is also the co-author of a book on cellular network testing. Zarlingo has a long history of community involvement, having been an active member of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Association since 1991. His volunteer work includes math tutoring, coaching a middle school robotics team, and participating in forest restoration projects.
