Benjamin Cooke

Benjamin "Ben" Cooke is a lifelong resident of Mount Airy and a graduate of Mount Airy City Schools, class of 1989. He has served on the Mount Airy City Schools Board of Education since being elected in 2010. In 2020, he was elected to the North Carolina State Boards Association (NCSBA) to represent the region for a two-year term. Cooke and his wife, Lone, own and operate Cooke Rentals, Inc. in Mount Airy. He was previously named "Mount Airy Citizen of the Year" for his public service through his business and volunteer efforts. He and his wife have three children who have attended schools in the district.
