Bethany (Beth) Andres-Beck is a senior staff software engineer, democratic-socialist activist, and Middleton, Massachusetts resident running for the U.S. House in Massachusetts' 6th District. The eldest of five raised in a resourceful household, they graduated from Smith College with a degree in costume design. They began their activism protesting the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, worked as a programmer at the Harvard School of Public Health, and helped build Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign donation website. Andres-Beck, who describes themself as agender, trans, queer, and proudly Unitarian Universalist, fought book-banning school-board candidates and revived the Middleton Town Democratic Committee; they say they would be the first non-binary member of Congress.
