Betsy Holland

Betsy Holland, a Democrat, represents District 54 in the Georgia House of Representatives, having first assumed office on January 14, 2019. Born January 10, 1976, she holds a degree from Smith College. Before her political career, Holland worked as Director of Culture & Engagement at Turner, also identified as a corporate executive. She won her seat in 2018 after securing a three-way Democratic primary victory and defeating Republican incumbent Beth Beskin in the general election. As an active legislator, her "Holland Report" blog details her work on strong legislation, including the Literacy Act and the DREAMS Scholarship, during the 2026 legislative session. She is married to Jason.
