Bill Bittinger

William L. Bittinger serves as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Garrett County, Maryland. A registered member of the Republican Party, Bittinger was successfully elected to this key county position for a four-year term during the 2022 election cycle. He officially began his tenure in November 2022, assuming the responsibilities of managing court records, legal documents, and administrative functions. In addition to his primary duties, he is an active member of the Court Access Committee, which operates under the Judicial Council to improve public access to the judicial system. Bittinger is a graduate of Southern Garrett High School and also furthered his education by attending Garrett College. He is married and has two children.
