William "Bill" Mattingly is a Republican candidate running for re-election as Judge of the Orphans' Court in Saint Mary's County, Maryland. With a deep commitment to public service, he brings extensive local experience to the bench. Mattingly was initially appointed to the Orphans' Court in 2012 by Governor Martin O'Malley and has served multiple terms. Before his judicial career, he worked as a Road Patrol Officer for local Sheriff's Departments. He later retired as a District Manager for Waste Management of Southern Maryland. Additionally, Mattingly served on the Saint Mary's County Board of Education for eight years.
