Bill Pugh

Bill Pugh is a lifelong public servant with extensive experience in local government, including roles as Public Works Director and Assistant City Manager for the City of Tacoma. He served as Sumner's Public Works and Public Services Director from 2008 to 2017 before being elected Mayor, a position he held from 2018 to 2021. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Seattle University and a master's degree in engineering from Penn State. Since his mayoral term, he has been active in community leadership, chairing committees for the Sumner Library and the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District.
