Bonnie Mitchell was appointed to the Richland School Board in September 2023 to serve a two-year term. She and her six children are products of Richland schools. She is a longtime volunteer at Richland High School and served for 12 years as president of the Bomber Booster Club. The school board noted her "deep community connection" as a key factor in her appointment.
