Brad Bales

Brad Bales was appointed to the Federal Way Municipal Court in February 2022 to fill a vacancy. His term runs until the end of 2025. Prior to his appointment, Judge Bales was a Senior Deputy Prosecutor for King County for over two decades. He also served for over thirty years in the United States Army, achieving the rank of colonel and serving as a military judge. He earned a Master's in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College, and a BS in Business from Portland State University.
