Judge Brad Bales was appointed to the bench in February 2022. He previously served as a Senior Deputy Prosecutor for King County for over two decades. He is also a retired U.S. Army colonel with over thirty years of service, including time as a military judge. He earned a Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark College and a Master's in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
