Brandon Atwood is a 1994 graduate of Norwood High School. He was first elected to the Board of Education in November 2017 and was re-elected in 2021. He currently serves as the President of the Board. His initial motivation to run for the board was sparked by a decision to close the high school's swimming pool, a decision he successfully worked to reverse.
