Brandon Soublet

I've called this community home for three-quarters of my life. My parents moved here when I was two years old, so I feel like I've grown up alongside the city. I've watched Emeryville transform from a city ravaged by chemical industry into a destination for retail and biotech, and now into a community that's built for its residents. We've installed bike- and pedestrian-infrastructure and traffic calming, created inviting green spaces, and installed public art citywide.

But we have more work to do.

We need development that benefits Emeryville residents and businesses.

We need to ensure that we’re protecting renters like myself, who make up 76% of Emeryville’s population.

We need to maximize every inch of our 1.2 square miles of land and protect our coastline for future generations.

We need to do better for children and parents right outside our schools.

We need to remove Flock technology and ensure public safety without turning into a surveillance state.

I want to bring nearly three decades of local lived experience, my master's in public policy from Georgetown, and years of analyzing and communicating complex policy issues to work for you on the Emeryville City Council.

I'd be honored to earn your vote.
