Brenda Stanley

Brenda Stanley, an incumbent Republican Oklahoma State Senator for District 42, is seeking re-election in 2026. She assumed office in 2018, bringing decades of experience from a 43-year career as a public school teacher and principal, retiring in 2016. She also held roles as an adjunct professor and project manager. A resident of Midwest City, Senator Stanley has championed healthcare initiatives, securing funding for the 9-8-8 crisis hotline and promoting the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact. She chairs the Senate Veterans and Military Affairs Committee and has been honored with the Oklahoma Distinguished Advocacy Award and named the 2025 Legislator of the Year by the Oklahoma Dental Hygienists’ Association.
