Brian Close, born in Northbrook, Illinois in 1958, is an incumbent Democratic member of the Montana House of Representatives for District 65. He moved to Montana in 1994 and holds degrees from the University of Chicago, New York University Law School, and Montana State University. A tax attorney, Close assumed office in January 2025 and is running for re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary. His platform advocates for reproductive freedom, support for seniors including home care and financial protections, a tenants' bill of rights, affordable housing, and a fairer tax system with property tax relief.
