Brian J. Feldman

Brian J. Feldman is a Democratic State Senator for Maryland's 15th Legislative District. He was appointed to the Senate in 2013 after serving in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2002 to 2013. Before entering public service, his career included work as a Certified Public Accountant and as a Senior Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice. In the Senate, Feldman has chaired the Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee and previously served as Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee. His legislative work has concentrated on Maryland's biotechnology sector, renewable energy initiatives, and the modernization of business and insurance laws. He earned a B.S. in accounting from Pennsylvania State University, a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.A. in government from Johns Hopkins University.
