Brian Jeffrey Mast is an American politician and U.S. military veteran serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 21st congressional district since 2017 [1.5]. A member of the Republican Party, Mast previously served in the U.S. Army for over 12 years as an explosive ordnance disposal technician. A veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, he was injured in Afghanistan in 2010. Mast later earned a degree from the Harvard Extension School and worked for the Department of Homeland Security.
