Brianna K. Thomas has a career in public service and community advocacy. Prior to her appointment to the legislature in January 2025, she was the chief of staff for Seattle City Council President Lorena Gonzalez. Her experience includes serving as a policy advisor in the Seattle Mayor's Office, field director at the Washington Housing Alliance Action Fund, and campaign manager for the successful $15 minimum wage initiative in SeaTac. She is a graduate of the University of Washington.
