Brit Ausman is a fifth-generation farmer whose family homesteaded in Asotin County in 1878. He holds a Bachelor of Science in agribusiness from the University of Idaho. Ausman grows wheat and barley and operates a trucking company that hauls grain. He also provides wildland firefighting services for the Department of Natural Resources in Washington and Oregon. He serves as a school board member for the Asotin-Anatone School District and is on the board of directors for the Wheat Marketing Center.
