Bryan Ray is a native of Alamance County, having grown up in Burlington and graduated from Williams High School in 2005. He earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009 and a Juris Doctor degree from Elon University School of Law in 2013. After law school, he joined the Doby & Ray law firm in Graham, becoming a partner in 2016 with a specialization in family law. In November 2024, he was elected to serve the remainder of a partial term for the District 17, Seat 01 judgeship. His community involvement includes serving on the Alamance County Board of Elections from 2018 to 2024, the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, and volunteering with the Alamance County Teen Court. He and his wife, Caroline, have two daughters and live in Elon.
