Buffy Wicks is an American politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly for District 14. A Democrat, she was first elected in 2018. Prior to serving in the Assembly, Wicks worked as a political strategist and grassroots organizer, notably serving on President Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns and as deputy director at the White House Office of Public Engagement. In the legislature, she focuses on housing affordability, workers' rights, and economic security.
