Caitlin "Goose" Marsh is a 25-year-old mother of three, a survivor, and a woman whose life is guided by a simple truth: faith comes first. "I am running for the North Carolina Senate in District 10 not because I am a career politician, but because I know what it means to struggle, and I know what it means to rise anyway. I grew up in poverty here in North Carolina. I have navigated the broken systems that are supposed to protect families but often fail them. As a survivor of severe domestic violence, I didn’t just read about the cracks in our judicial system; I fell through them. I had to claw my way out of darkness to build a stable, faith-filled life for my children. That fight lit a fire in me. It taught me that leadership isn't about a resume; it’s about resilience. Today, I see a different kind of threat facing our families. We are watching "Rapid Urbanization" swallow our communities. We are seeing generational residents priced out of their homes by rising taxes, and we are watching our water infrastructure pushed to the brink of failure by irresponsible development. I am a conservative Republican, but my loyalty isn't to a party line—it is to the families of District 10. I am running to stop the "growth at any cost" mentality, to defend the unborn, to support the survivors, and to ensure that when our children inherit this county, they have safe schools, clean water, and the same local values we cherish today. I’m here to represent my neighbors, defend the vulnerable, and stand boldly for what is right. My story is one of survival, strength, and purpose. Now, I am ready to put that purpose to work for you."
