Carine Werner is an incumbent Republican State Senator representing Arizona's Legislative District 4, having assumed office in January 2025 after defeating the Democratic incumbent. She chairs the Senate Health & Human Services Committee and serves as Vice Chair of the Education Committee, focusing on improving state agency accountability, strengthening child welfare, expanding healthcare access, and supporting Arizona families. An immigrant who arrived in the U.S. at age 11, Werner advocates for strong schools and safe communities. She previously served on the Scottsdale Unified School District governing board and is a small business owner. Werner lives in Scottsdale with her husband and three children.
