Carlos Riddick currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Washington County Board of Education. In November 2025, he was elected President of the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA), marking the first time a board member from Washington County has led the statewide organization. His career began in the funeral service profession at age 13, which led to him co-founding the Paradise House of Funerals in Plymouth. Alongside his wife, Jennifer, he also pastors the United Full Gospel Revival Center in Elizabeth City. Mr. Riddick is described as having a lifetime of service and leadership guided by his faith and commitment to the community.
