Carole A. Hicks earned her undergraduate degree from Gardner-Webb University in 1989 and her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1992. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1992. In 1993, she established her own law practice. Her legal career has included work as a contract attorney for juvenile delinquency cases in Iredell and Alexander counties, and she is also a certified family and financial mediator. She was a candidate for the same judicial district in 2014 but was defeated in the general election. She currently holds the office of North Carolina District Court Judge.
