Carolyn Petersen has been involved in the East Valley School District since moving to the area in 2017. She has been active in the Parent Teacher Organization, the Booster Club, and served on Trentwood Elementary's principal hiring committee. Petersen has five children in East Valley schools. She holds a bachelor's degree in recreation management and youth leadership from Brigham Young University (2001). Her professional experience includes being the vice president of EDRC LLC and owning a local Subway store.
