Carter F. Nordman, born May 27, 1998, in Waterloo, Iowa, serves as a Republican State Representative for Iowa's 47th District. A graduate of Adel DeSoto Minburn High School and the University of Northern Iowa with a BBA, he assumed office in 2021, becoming one of the youngest state legislators. Prior to his current role, he served as a Legislative Assistant and chaired the Adel Parks and Recreation Board, in addition to owning a business. He currently chairs the Ways and Means Committee and the Health and Human Services Committee, and is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary.
