Casey Swensen is a Republican candidate for Idaho State Senate District 25, challenging incumbent Josh Kohl in the May 19, 2026 primary. He has not previously held elected office. Swensen grew up in Twin Falls, where his family ran a grocery business for nearly a century. A Twin Falls High valedictorian, he holds degrees from BYU and Thomas Jefferson School of Law. His career spans public defense, criminal prosecution in Idaho, and growing a pest control company in the Midwest. He returned to Twin Falls in 2022, running for Magic Valley families on a platform of safe neighborhoods, affordable living, responsible government, and supporting small businesses.
