Catelin Drey

Catelin Drey is an incumbent State Senator for Iowa's District 1, first elected in a 2025 special election where she ended the Republican supermajority in the Senate. A Sioux City resident and Morningside University graduate with degrees in Spanish and Photography, she has a background in digital marketing and customer service. Drey founded Moms for Iowa, a grassroots initiative advocating for accessible public policy for parents. She champions fully funding public education, affordable and accessible childcare, equitable healthcare access, protecting bodily autonomy, and fostering economic mobility. She is seeking re-election in 2026 to continue focusing on transparency, accountability, and delivering solutions for Iowa families.
