Cathy Higgins has lived in District 89 her entire life. Born in West Palm Beach and raised in Lake Worth, she and her husband, Tim, settled in Atlantis, where she served 12 years on the City Council, including three years as the city's first woman Mayor. A devoted Christian, wife, and mother of two accomplished daughters, Cathy built a thriving dance program at The King's Academy and also built two successful, local small businesses with her husband, Tim, that employ almost 400 people.
