A retired information technology professional with a 42-year career, she earned degrees from Northern Virginia Community College, Excelsior College, and the University of Memphis. Born in Germany, she lived in Europe and Virginia before moving to Tulsa in 1986, now residing in Broken Arrow with her husband, Gerry. Her platform centers on fiscal conservatism, strong public schools, fair pay, and affordable healthcare for all Oklahomans. The daughter of a WWII veteran, Smythe aims to bring common sense and decency to the state capital, advocating for quality education, meaningful employment, and personal freedoms. She previously ran for this office in 2024.
