Chandra Dillard, born March 10, 1965, in Greenville, South Carolina, is a Democratic politician currently serving as an incumbent in the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 23 since 2009. She is the Deputy Minority Leader of the House and serves on key subcommittees including Public Education Budget and Sales & Use Tax and Income Tax Legislative. A strong advocate for early childhood education, Dillard has received multiple awards for her legislative efforts. Prior to her state service, she made history as the first woman elected from her district to the Greenville City Council, where she served for nine years. She is also a past president of the Conference of Black Municipal Elected Officials and the South Carolina General Assembly Women's Caucus, and a member and past treasurer of the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus.
