Charles E. "Chuck" Martin Jr., born in Alpharetta, Georgia in 1961, is a Republican politician and a long-serving incumbent in the Georgia House of Representatives. He assumed office in 2003, currently representing District 49, and his term concludes in January 2027. Prior to his state legislative career, Martin served as a City Councillor in Alpharetta from 1993 to 1995 and as Mayor from 1996 to 2002. He has also chaired the Higher Education Committee since 2019. Martin is running for re-election in the Republican primary on May 19, 2026, to continue representing District 49. He also holds a professional role as a director at a Texas-based tax consultancy.
