Charles E. Sydnor, III

Charles E. Sydnor III is a Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 44, an office he has held since 2020. His legislative career began in the Maryland House of Delegates, where he represented District 44B from 2015 until his election to the Senate. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 18, 1974, Sydnor is an attorney by profession. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. Before entering public office, he gained legal experience working for the Attorney General of Maryland and has served as an attorney for Enterprise Community Partners since 2001.
