Charlice Byrd is an incumbent Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, serving District 20 since January 2021. Born in New Orleans in 1951, she is an elementary educator by background, a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, and of Chinese descent. She resides in Woodstock with her husband, Michael. Byrd is seeking re-election in the May 19, 2026 Republican primary. She is a member of the Georgia Freedom Caucus and serves on multiple committees including Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight and Transportation. She has supported bills related to SNAP, election integrity, law enforcement, income tax reduction, and religious freedom.
