Chaz Allen is a candidate for Des Moines Area Community College, Board of Directors, District 5 in Des Moines, Iowa — 2025 General Election. Running as Non-partisan.

Chaz Allen is the Executive Director of the Iowa Utility Association, a role he has held since February 2019. His career in public service includes serving as an Iowa State Senator for District 15 from 2015 to 2019, representing the Democratic Party. He was also the mayor of Newton, Iowa, from 2004 to 2012. Prior to his current role, he was the executive director of the Jasper County Economic Development Corporation. Allen attended Ellsworth Community College and holds a B.S. in International Business from Northwest Missouri State University. He was appointed to the DMACC board to fill a vacancy.
