Cherish DesRochers is the incumbent for City Council Position No. 6, having served since she was first appointed in 2016 and subsequently elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2021. She has also served as Deputy Mayor. A resident of Battle Ground since 1990, she attended local public schools. Prior to her council position, she served on the city's Planning Commission. Her professional experience includes working as a Customer Service Representative for C-Tran since 2010. DesRochers founded the nonprofit Food with Friends to assist those experiencing homelessness and co-created the Shower Outreach Project. She holds an Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities.
