Chris Rogers is the incumbent California State Assemblymember representing District 2. Born and raised in Sonoma County, he previously served on the Santa Rosa City Council from 2016 to 2024, including a term as mayor from 2020 to 2022. Rogers earned a bachelor's degree in political science from UC Santa Barbara and a Master of Public Administration from Sonoma State University. Prior to elected office, he worked for U.S. Representative Lynn Woolsey and State Senator Mike McGuire.
