Christina "Chrissy" Haynes is the County Extension Director for Montgomery County. She grew up in Montgomery County and is a graduate of North Carolina State University, earning a degree in extension education with a minor in horticulture in 2007, and later a graduate degree. After a year in formal education, she became the 4-H Extension Agent for Montgomery County, a role she held for fourteen years before becoming the county director in December 2019. As director, she manages a staff of nine and works to provide the community with information and programming related to agriculture, family and consumer sciences, and 4-H youth development.
