Christina Jones is the incumbent City Council member for District E, having assumed office in December 2022. Before her election, she was a substitute teacher with the Wake County Public School System and had a background in restaurant management and education. Her path to public service began with volunteering in her neighborhood and taking city-offered classes like Raleigh Neighborhood College. She became the Chair of the Raleigh Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) in 2019 and later served on the city's Parks Board.
