She and her husband moved to Morris Plains in 2008 and have two sons who attend Morris Plains Borough School. Perry earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from The Cooper Union and an MBA in Supply Chain Management and Strategic Management from Rutgers University.
