Christopher E. Chan is a lifelong resident of Whidbey Island. He has a Bachelor of Science from Washington State University. He previously served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Central Whidbey Fire and Rescue from 1979 to 2009. Chan has prior elected experience, having served on the Coupeville School Board from 2008 to 2017 and as the Lagoon Point Water District Commissioner since 2019. He has also been active in the community through the Central Little League Board for 15 years. His father was also a firefighter with Central Whidbey Island Fire & Rescue.
